YOU CAN WRITE IT: Composition Demystified
Workshop Outline:
What makes a good composition? The most effective and memorable music is elegantly simple. Karel Roessingh explains how to write music on a level understandable to anyone with a basic knowledge of notes and chords. Mornings will be spent with structure and process, and afternoons we’ll write and play music together so that students will have an opportunity to come away with their own creation. Some time will be spent discussing business and registration of new musical works.
