THE INTERPRETIVE IMAGE: A Personal Narrative

Photography | July 07 - 08, 2012 | Quinton Gordon | $185
Workshop Outline:

This workshop is suitable for all levels – from the non-photographer to the experienced. The focus will be on developing emotion and personal narrative, rather than the mechanics of making pretty pictures. We will explore  how personal history, experiences and background are integral to how we see, discover and make meaningful images.

The workshop will expand the participants’ understanding of interpretive image making and personal visual language. Through discussions, assignments, critique sessions and editing, students will explore the path to their own unique vision and authorship. We will concentrate on defining that photographic voice and push beyond the boundaries of single image making.
