PASSIONATE PHOTOGRAPHY: A Visual Language
Workshop Outline:
Learning to see is a constant and exciting adventure. Students will explore their creativity, learning to recognize the potential pictures all around them. When a photograph communicates some key thought or feeling, and the viewer responds to it, it succeeds. Participants will develop the skills to organize the graphic elements of a compelling image, survey photographic masters, shoot throughout the day, review and critique their own images in a supportive environment, and discover what makes those photographs successful. This course is not concerned with the technical aspects of camera use, but participants must have a working knowledge of their cameras. Students will need a laptop with photo editing software, preferably Photoshop Elements, Photoshop or iPhoto and the knowledge to use it.
