LOST & FOUND: Collage Plus
Workshop Outline:
Collage marries strange bedfellows, impossible opposites, the precious and the discarded. Morning sessions will begin with individual and group writing/visual exercises to engage intuition. Students will work with varied materials such as found objects, old letters, personal photographic imagery, and old art work. Along with basic collage, participants will also starch and muck up papers to make them more expressive and textural, and experiment with 3-dimensional assemblage. And always, we’ll be looking for that spark of energy that is the basis of exciting design.
