FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE: Techniques for Big Clay Work.
Workshop Outline:
With a focus on figurative sculpture, students will spend 5 days immersed in the flow of the creative process. Beginning with simple techniques that become more complex on an individual basis as the week progresses, students will discuss size, scale, and firing techniques. Daily conversations will include art history, contemporary clay sculpture, risk taking, and the consideration of sculptor as story teller. This class is open to all skill levels.
