CREATIVE METALSMITHING FOR THE IMAGINATIVE ARTIST
Workshop Outline:
Fire up your imagination! Students will learn about, or increase their knowledge of, designing for metal. They will make their own unique small-scale sculpture or vessel, following their own interests and design concepts. Mastering the arts of forming, sawing, patinas and cold connections, including multiple types of riveting and tab construction will be covered. The course will also involve learning how to alter simple, everyday tools to meet your metalsmithing needs. Come experiment, interpret your ideas, and share your creativity. Both newcomers and seasoned artists are welcome.
