This course covers a series of experiments in visual attention. Drawing from the model, students will be considering questions about why they draw, the physical act of seeing and of drawing, and about what hinders them in drawing accurately - and what are so-called “mistakes” and what do they mean in terms of perception and the brain? What is choice and what is attention? We will work with movement and duration, and the translation into line. This is a course of instruction, but there is also time for drawing on one’s own. It is equally valuable for the beginner, for the advanced student, or for the professional artist.
